For almost a quarter of a century, Markex has provided visitors with a comprehensive and dynamic showcase of leading suppliers to the marketing and promotions industry. It is the only show of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa.
WORLD of EVENTS – SA’s Showcase of Suppliers to the Special Events Industry
Running parallel to Markex since 2003, World of Events showcases a variety of goods and services from suppliers to the special events and associated industries.
Thousands of marketers flock to this definitive exhibition every year to stock up on ideas, concepts, inspirations and contacts for the year ahead. Markex & World of Events continues to grow year on year and has consistently attracted record amounts of quality visitors and exhibitors. In 2009, 309 exhibitors showcased their goods and services to 10 861 visitors, 85% of whom either made or intend making a purchasing decision and 98% said they would visit again in 2010.
Building on the overwhelming success of the inaugural Advantage Advertising Village in 2009, Markex will once again feature a dedicated interactive area where advertising agencies will visually display all aspects of advertising and branding to the marketplace with open exhibition stands. With a dedicated presentation corner and meeting area with casual seating and a wine bar, the Advantage Advertising Village is THE place to network and gain valuable business contacts.
For the first time in 2010, Markex and World of Events will feature a new ‘Trade Only’ section in Hall 1. Visitors wishing to gain access to this area will be required to pre-register with a company registration number and will have to meet ‘trade only’ criteria for access, ensuring enhanced targeting of visitors for exclusively trade exhibitors.
To complete the trade
registration you will be required to insert a pin code, which can be obtained
from one of the trade only supplier exhibitors. Trade Buyers who cannot obtain
a pin code from an exhibitor can apply to lynnc@specialised.com. Please go to
the visitor registration button, then click on trade buyer button and complete
the application.
In a concerted drive to ensure exhibitors of quality visitors, non-ticket holders to the show will be required to pay a R40 entrance fee.
Please note that access for students is limited to Thursday 26th August and is only applicable to senior students enrolled in relevant marketing related fields of study. No under 18s allowed. Student groups must apply in writing to the organisers for approval to visit the exhibition by downloading the application form and e mailing lynnc@specialised.com.
