Zambian mining and industrial show Caminex IS going ahead in 2023
December 12, 2022 – Specialised Exhibitions, a division of Montgomery Group, recently announced that Caminex would not be going ahead as part of its trade exhibition portfolio in 2023. A strategic review of its mining and industrial portfolio of shows led to this decision. Caminex as an event will however, take place.
Caminex will be held at the Kitwe Showgrounds next year with the Copperbelt Mining, Agricultural and Commercial Show Society (CACSS) as sole organisers of the show. The show had previously been jointly organised through CACSS and Specialised Exhibitions since 2017. The recent announcement by Specialised Exhibitions inferred that Caminex would not be going ahead in 2023, an error for which Specialised Exhibitions’ apologises.
As Zambia’s premier Copperbelt Mining, Agricultural and Industrial trade expo, Caminex offers important value to both Zambia and the DRC’s rich mining belts. The 3-day expo is the only mining, agricultural and industrial trade expo that takes place in the Copperbelt, which gives visitors from mines and other industries in this area direct access to the show.
Caminex is a valued local event and has been widely supported by local government and industry stakeholders related to the mining, industrial and agricultural sectors over the years. The show will continue to provide an important platform where buyers and suppliers of products can meet and network. There has been a positive response to Caminex 2023 and CACSS is looking forward to another successful event.
“We have enjoyed an outstanding relationship with the Copperbelt Mining, Agricultural and Commercial Show Society over the years and wish them every success for Caminex 2023. We look forward to engaging with them further for Electra Mining Africa 2024 as we believe there are further opportunities for collaboration,” says Gary Corin, Managing Director of Specialised Exhibitions.
